Customer Development Executive – McCurrach on behalf of Carlsberg Britvic

Location – Kilburn & Surrounding areas (Ideal postcode NW6)

Permanent, Full time – 40 hours per week

Salary £32,000 basic + 20% Bonus

Carlsberg Britvic is the largest multi-beverage supplier in the UK and is home to some of the most iconic beers & soft drinks, including Carlsberg Danish Pilsner, 1664, Poretti and Brooklyn, and ale favourites such as Hobgoblin and Wainwright. Brands in soft drinks include J2O, Robinsons, Tango and London Essence, along with the licence rights to the Pepsi portfolio in the UK including Pepsi MAX, 7UP, Lipton Iced Tea and Rockstar Energy.

With a strong national footprint, Carlsberg Britvic operates 6 production facilities and 16 logistics depots servicing customers across the UK. As these two historical businesses come together, the common goal remains: ensuring our people succeed.

What You'll Do

  • In this role, you will work with a Regional Sales Manager and sell our Soft Drinks and Beers portfolio.
  • You will be responsible for face-to-face contact with Convenience (Symbol & Independent) retailers, establishing and retaining new business opportunities, and delivering a territory business plan focused on maximising sales opportunities.
  • Partner with customers by building outstanding relationships in convenience stores, understanding retailer needs, their local consumers, and executing solutions.
  • Adopt a full category-based selling approach to grow and develop every outlet for the benefit of the retail outlet and Carlsberg Britvic.
  • Create a winning territory business plan and take a business development approach to grow sales and market share.
  • Use data and evidence-based retailer successes to drive best practice in your territory, region, and across the team.
  • Develop a growth mindset and adaptable approach with the ability to offer alternative strategies to tackle challenges and win over stores.

  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • You may have previous experience in Direct Sales/Convenience or FMCG.
  • Good administration, organizational and planning skills; commercially astute with strong negotiation techniques.
  • Self-motivated with IT and social media literacy.
  • Resilient with energy and the ability to act at pace.
  • Participating as part of a team in a proactive manner.
  • Full valid manual driving licence, eligibility to work in the UK, and ability to live within a 60-minute commute from the role location are essential.

What We Offer

  • A starting salary of £32,000 basic with a 20% quarterly bonus.
  • A company vehicle and fuel card.

Please note this role requires a full UK driving licence (with no more than 6 points or previous bans). All offers will be subject to successful completion of a DVLA licence check.
