We are looking to recruit a Quality Assurance Assistant to join our team in Lisburn. This is an excellent development opportunity for someone looking for a career within food distribution.
The Person
This role will require a professional individual who is highly organised, customer focused, with great attention to detail. As QA Assistant you will be required to monitor and verify all food safety, legality and quality procedures as outlined within the company’s Quality Management System.
Duties
- Internal auditing processes.
- Assisting in preparation for audits and visits (e.g. Customer, BRCGS, Regulatory).
- Verification and monitoring of cold chain.
- Verification and review of inspections and record management.
- Monitoring and approval of service suppliers.
- Conducting traceability exercises.
- Supporting with investigations required by customers, any non-conformances or technical customer queries.
- Assisting in continuous improvement projects.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year’s experience in a similar role (Food Safety, Quality or Technical).
- 3rd level Degree in food science, food technology or related principle.
- HACCP Level 2 (HACCP level 3 desirable).
- Food Safety Level 3 (desirable).
- Level 3 Award in Delivering training (desirable).
- Experience of working within a regulated environment.
- Understanding of QMS, BRCGS standards and involvement in BRCGS Audits in food or storage and distribution.
- Full clean driving license and travel to other sites is an essential part of the role.
Terms & Benefits
- Full Time, Monday – Friday, 9.00am – 6.00pm (1 hour lunch).
- Flexibility required to meet the needs of the business (including occasional evening and weekends), later shift start times available.
