We are looking for a UK / CE Purchasing Manager to lead procurement and supply chain activities across the United Kingdom and Continental Europe. This role will manage a team of buyers and work closely with Sales, Operations, Engineering, and Global Procurement. The focus is on ensuring supply continuity, managing costs, improving supplier performance, and maintaining accurate inventory. This is a hands-on role with a strong on-site presence, working closely with cross-functional teams and suppliers.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage supplier relationships across the UK and Europe
- Lead sourcing, re-sourcing, and tender activities
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and commercial agreements
- Manage supplier performance and drive improvements
- Lead and develop the UK/CE procurement team
- Support collaboration with global procurement colleagues
- Manage purchase orders to support production and customer demand
- Maintain planning parameters (MOQ, lead times, safety stock, reorder points)
- Partner with Sales and Operations on forecasting and demand planning
- Oversee inventory accuracy (target 98%+)
- Lead cycle counts, stock takes, and audit preparation
- Ensure accurate procurement data, KPIs, and reporting
- Maintain ERP/MRP system integrity

What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field
- CIPS qualification (or working toward it) is a plus
- Proven experience in procurement or supply chain leadership
- Strong negotiation skills with a track record of cost savings
- Knowledge of UK and European supplier markets
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with day-to-day execution
