Now in our 15th year of trading, Mc Crae Training is offering a range of exciting training and assessment positions as we expand our team to meet the increasing demand for delivery of high-quality utility sector training.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, and organised full-time Water Networks Trainer / Assessor to join our team as we continue to expand and grow.
From our head office, Learning & Development Centre and UK industry-leading skills Academy in East Kilbride, combined with our satellite centres across the UK and Ireland, we deliver utility and construction sector training across the UK and Ireland to small, medium and large organisations inclusive of Water, Gas, Drainage, Telecoms, Multi-Utility and Construction Companies.
Job Description
The successful candidate will be required to deliver Water Utility, Street Works and Construction Sector training and assessment services at our skills academy, head office and locations across the UK and Ireland, specialising in Water Networks Utility Sector training and delivery.
They must have a minimum of 3 years of operational experience within the Water Networks Utility Sector inclusive of Street Works.
This position plays a key role in the smooth running of operations within the company.
The role of Trainer / Assessor requires exceptional organisational and planning skills to enhance the learning experience of candidates through consistent training and assessment.
The role holder is integral to supporting, and training individuals to reach their full potential, from Apprentices to Managers within the sector.
Delivering standardised training programmes, playing an active role in maintaining training materials, standards, and Awarding Organisation criteria to ensure they are up to date and relevant.
The role supports various functions across the business to achieve and exceed performance targets.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities as follows
- Meet all requirements as set out within Mc Crae Training Ltd.’s Code of Practice.
- Organise, plan, and deliver high-quality VQ / NVQ qualifications, technical skills training, and assessments.
- Assist with regular reviews of training course materials, (minimum annually) to ensure they meet all requirements, standards, and legislation.
- Process and return post-training delivery course paperwork and digital outputs to a consistent and high-quality standard meeting all Company procedures and performance targets.
- Ensure work is completed in accordance with client, company and awarding body standards and specifications.
- Work to and comply with Mc Crae Training Ltd.’s Business and Quality Management Systems.
- Maintain CPD (Continuous Professional Development) records and update continually.
- Assist in meeting and exceeding company performance targets associated with consistent delivery of training and assessment services.
- Achieve and exceed individual training / assessment performance targets.
- Delivering standardised training programmes, playing an active role in maintaining training materials, standards, and Awarding Organisation criteria to ensure they are up-to-date and relevant.
- Assist with meeting and exceeding company performance targets inclusive of securing new business.
- Maintain Health & Safety standards within the External Assessment Centre, Skills Academy, Storage Containers and Training Rooms.
- Ensure health & safety is the primary consideration in all aspects of delivering training and assessment services on and off site, to maintain the safety of all colleagues and candidates.
Due to the nature of this role, a full UK driving license is essential.
Travelling to clients' sites will form part of the role requirements and there will be an expectation to work away from home 30% to 50% of the time.
Working hours are 8:00am to 4:30pm (Monday to Friday), along with travel and / or delivering training at weekends.
