Responsibilities include setting the direction of the shift team and ensuring overall performance of the department to meet objectives for safety, quality, process reliability, productivity, food safety, hygiene, and customer service.

Participating in and/or leading cross-functional improvement teams and other HPO (High Performance Organization) activities.

Ensuring product and service meets all compliance and food safety regulations and completing all follow-up activities.

Maintaining inventory control and traceability and working with Stock Controllers to investigate, execute, and communicate root cause failure analysis, including recommending and implementing resolutions.

Managing the DC yard, Palletizer area, IBC management, including management of SILO area, waste management, and security.

Providing daily team management for DC priorities, team support, administration, and operational report reviews to maintain shift performance and material flows across the factory.

Participating in the interview process, onboarding, and early development of team members.

Performing Technician job duties as needed and acting as stand-in Warehouse Manager as required.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant warehouse operations experience, ideally including proven experience in automated solutions and food operations.
  • Relevant leadership experience: ability to provide daily direction and coaching.
  • Experience of working with Logistics 3PL providers.
  • Proficiency in Office 365 & SAP or other enterprise resource planning tools; mechanical aptitude; presentation skills.
  • Strong coordination ability.
  • Able to build and maintain contacts across the plant.
  • Ability to teach/coach direct team in operational area and key interface with other areas/teams within the plant, contributing to the plant results.
  • Equal understanding of manufacturing and warehouse operations environments.
  • Strong understanding of PDCA methodology and able to facilitate and/or participate in problem-solving discussions with team or cross-functional team.
