To support the development needs of our customers and the associated commercial and supply chain challenges. This includes ensuring briefs and requests are carried out in accordance with customer expectations and involves hands-on development with coordination of other functions. Utilising the EMEA strategy by taking a customer-facing and proactive approach to the delivery of new and renovated products. Attending customer presentations and dealing directly with customer issues and challenges.

Working closely with the global R&D community based in many different locations. Working with the QSM Team to develop key operational and best-practice skills within the food manufacturing environment to ensure Quality and Food Safety compliance, supported by documented policies and procedures, including HACCP, Food Fraud and Food Defense. Experiencing all elements of the Quality Team and gaining practical skills and experience within Quality Systems, Hygiene, Sensory, Quality Engineering and QA Lab techniques and management.

Supporting the Team in prioritising activities, driving Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Identifying Continuous Improvement projects and working with cross-functional teams using best-practice manufacturing techniques such as LEAN, Kaizen and SMED techniques to determine root causes and long-term fixes for Quality and Food Safety incidents. Develop an understanding of audit management, customer codes of practice and audit standards.

Understand the theoretical and practical elements of environmental monitoring programmes; hygiene validations; food safety control validations; hygiene management and traceability. Understand the value of sensory programmes and customer expectations in this area to deliver consistent, high-quality products at all times, including shelf-life validation protocols. Conduct analytical tests within the laboratory to ensure raw material and product compliance to internal and customer standards.

Current students or recent graduates with a predicted or achieved 2:1 (Upper Second Class Honours) or above (Food Science or similar field preferred). Demonstration of commercial acumen, desire to work in an international business and corporate environment. Leadership potential: we are looking for talented future leaders who want to and can make a big difference to McCormick.

Able to analyse and present accurate basic statistical data to a broad range of individuals. A strong team player, able to build effective, collaborative relationships. A highly driven individual, with strong learning agility, open to new challenges and happy to work with cross-functional teams and cultures. A vibrant individual, who is capable of quick decision-making, with the confidence and drive to make a positive difference to their work environment. Be adaptable, open to change, and ready to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Fluent English speaker and a second language would be advantageous. Interested in a career in the food industry.
