This role provides both inbound and outbound processes at the MUK (McCormick UK) Peterborough site. Supporting all logistics activities centred around outbound and inbound vehicle movements, both domestic, international and involving 3rd party service providers (ie STI, Havi etc) and internal CHT (Chris Hayter Transport) vehicle movements and deliveries, including liaising within the CHT network. A key part of the role is ensuring that all statutory (and non-statutory) requirements are met to ensure that CHT will always operate in a safe and legal manner.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Management of the Peterborough site Booking Diaries for both inbound and outbound movements using existing tools in collaboration with MUK Customer Order Solutions team as per current processes.
- Escalate any capacity constraints issues for inbound and outbound movements for discussion with DC team.
- Provide the main communications link between DC (Distribution Centre) team and visiting/ delivering drivers.
- Provide the effective communications link between CHT Transport (Shunting Services and Customer Delivery Movements) and Peterborough site to manage ETA (Estimated Time of Arrival) in collaboration with DC teams.
- Manage the timely and accurate production of all relevant documentation for dispatch movements (domestic and export as per current processes).
- Booking with CHT transport management all outbound deliveries managed by CHT.
- Site management of consumable and pallet delivery vehicles.
- Manage the on-site vehicle movements and parking in collaboration with other teams on-site.
- Responsibility for correct vehicle sealing procedure of all required vehicles, recording seal information on all relevant documentation and taking and storing photographic evidence of intact seal prior to vehicles leaving site.
- Timely SAP booking in/ out of dispatch/ inbound inventory.
- Maintenance of system-based filing and supporting documentation.
- Ensuring all documentation is correct and that both operational procedures and data transfer is executed in accordance with McCormick requirements.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Proven experience of working in a distribution role, inbound and outbound, warehouse administrator or similar role.
- Proficient in transport management systems and experience working with SAP.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
