This is a great opportunity to join our team and continue the great work in bringing to life our condiments manufacturing facility, located in Peterborough, UK. Our vision is to build a sustainable, innovative McCormick factory-of-the-future to support our Flavour Solutions customers.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Setting the direction of shift team and ensure overall performance of the department to meet objectives for safety, quality, process reliability, productivity, food safety, hygiene, and customer service.
- Participating in and/or leads cross-functional improvement teams and other HPO (High Performance Organization) activities.
- Ensuring product and service meets all compliance and food safety regulations and complete all follow up activities.
- Maintaining inventory control and traceability and work with Stock Controllers to investigate, execute, and communicate root cause failure analysis, including recommending and implementing resolutions.
- Managing the DC yard, Palletizer area, IBC management and including management of SILO area, waste management and Security.
- Providing daily team management for DC priorities, team support, administration, and operational report reviews to maintain shift performance and material flows across the factory.
- Participating in the interview process, on-boarding and early development of team members.
- Performing Technician job duties as needed.
- Acting as stand-in Warehouse Manager as needed.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Relevant Warehouse operations experience, ideally to include proven experience in automated solutions and food operations.
- Relevant Leadership experience: ability to provide daily direction / coaching.
- Experience of working with Logistics 3PL providers.
- Office 365 & SAP or other enterprise resource planning tool; mechanical aptitude; presentation skills.
- Strong coordination ability.
- Ability to provide daily direction and coaching/conflict resolution.
- Able to build and maintain contacts across the Plant.
- Ability to teach/coach direct team in operational area / key interface with other areas/teams within the Plant and contributes to the Plant results.
- Equal understanding on manufacturing and warehouse operations environments.
- Strong understanding of PDCA methodology and able to facilitate and/or participate in problem-solving discussions with team or cross-functional team.
