The Warehouse Operator role in the Distribution Centre (DC) team is responsible for performing warehouse functions: inbound receipt, put away, picking and dispatch of palletised products, following SOPs and standard work instructions. These processes will be completed with the use of MHE. The role includes working in the ambient and chilled DC (PPE provided for chiller) and managing stock in the Freezer.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES- Operate within all general warehouse duties as directed by the management team and in line with customer requirements.
- Work in a safe and environmentally responsible manner, while operating, monitoring, and controlling equipment, systems and processes associated with the Pre weigh, Processing, Packing, Palletization areas.
- Stock Receipt β from stock transfers production returns, supplier inbound, booking in on SAP, labelling and put away.
- Stock Put Away of all materials, finished goods and stock management.
- Stock picking β customer collections, stock for production and other departments following first in first out (FIFO) process.
- Stock marshalling in ambient and chiller DC also marshalling stock in production areas.
- Picking stock for production, Quality, R&D, Sensory and Hygiene Teams.
- Collect finished goods pallets from production areas.
- Silo Intake of Liquid and bulk powders, full unloading process.
- Working at Height is mandatory, up to 14 metres, in Very Narrow Aisle (VNA) Truck.
- Using Forklift truck and ride on PPT truck for all stock movements.
- To complete Yearly S-Cape training from VNA truck.
- Checking vehicles are suitable for our stock to be loaded, temperature-controlled vehicle are set to correct temperature as per dispatch rules for that destination.
- Allergen management of stock in ambient and chilled areas.
- Ensure full compliance with Company Quality, Food Safety, Health & Safety and Environmental requirements.
- Previous experience in warehouse role.
- Previous experience in warehouse temperature-controlled environment preferred.
- Basic knowledge of hand tools.
- Understanding the importance of Company Quality, Food Safety, Health & Safety and Environmental requirements.
- MHE Experience: Very Narrow Aisle (VNA) up to 14 meters, working at height, Forklift Counterbalance, ride on PPT truck and Electric pump truck.
- Good literacy and numeracy skills e.g. English, Maths.
- Intermediate Computer skills. SAP / WCS software experience advantageous.
