Full-time parental leave contract role (12-months) based at our Moorabbin Airport site. Work in our brand-new state of the art Technical Innovation Centre. Global company, dynamic R&D team offering career growth and development opportunities.

We are seeking a full time Product Development Technologist to join our R&D Team based in Moorabbin (12-month contract). Reporting to the Product Development Manager, you will interact with key stakeholders and cross-functional teams to execute research and development activities related to new products and existing product improvements in accordance with customer or stakeholder requirements. In addition, you will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver on productivity projects.

The Role

  • Develop and/or match products as per assigned internal or external project briefs and ensure that products are suitable for manufacture.
  • Interact with key customers to present concepts, regular engagement based on project requirements, and develop an understanding of strategies & priorities to support projects.
  • Lead internal trial activities and support with customer trials as required.
  • Lead product maintenance and internal productivity projects to deliver on business objectives.
  • Preparation of interim and final specification for approval by Regulatory and as per customer requirements.
  • Strong project management skills, exceptional communication and presentation skills, and the ability to manage business priorities.

Your Skills

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant R&D experience will be highly regarded.
  • Strong knowledge & experience in Seasonings, Coatings and Wet Condiments/Sauces.
  • A passion for problem solving, with the ability to adapt, think outside the box and deliver technical and innovative solutions.
  • Enjoy working with cross-functional teams and excels at building meaningful relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, SAP knowledge is highly regarded and an in-depth knowledge of FSANZ regulations.
