Reporting to the UK Consumer Finance Director, the Finance Manager will act as a strategic business partner to the commercial teams, supporting performance, improving processes and delivering actionable insights that influence decision making. This role combines strong financial ownership with hands-on collaboration across Sales and Commercial functions to enhance margin, optimise investment and strengthen financial control.

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the full P&L for the UK Foodservice business, providing insightful analysis and recommendations to drive performance.
  • Partner closely with the Foodservice commercial team to support growth initiatives and profitability improvement.
  • Lead finance support for customer negotiations, including business tenders and trade accrual balance sheet management.
  • Deliver analysis on key financial drivers, identifying risks, opportunities and areas for improvement.
  • Support and challenge commercial teams on pricing, promotional spend and margin optimisation.
  • Contribute to ongoing O&R processes to analyse volume and spend trends.
  • Provide financial guidance on key commercial projects to ensure value creation.
  • Deliver commercial finance training to enhance financial capability within local teams.
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships with key stakeholders across the business.
  • Ensure accurate and timely distribution of commercial finance reports and business intelligence.
  • Support the development and implementation of enhanced reporting tools and processes.
  • Contribute to month-end activities, quarterly forecasts and annual budgeting processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement in core commercial finance processes and reporting standards.
  • Maintain robust documentation and ensure compliance with internal controls and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.

Candidates Profile

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and articulate financial insights across different levels and functions.

  • Strong experience in financial planning, analysis and business partnering with commercial, marketing, sales or supply chain teams.
  • In-depth understanding of P&L and Balance Sheet management.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse sales trends, forecasts and the financial impact of business decisions.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
