The Food & Product Photographer will be responsible for delivering quality images for website, e-commerce and digital campaigns. This role will work closely with a food stylist and content producer as part of McCormick’s internal content production team, which services McCormick’s entire family of EMEA brands (e.g. Schwartz, Ducros, Vahine, Kamis).
Responsibilities:
- Photograph products, ingredients, and finished dishes for use on website, print and social channels.
- Edit images (inclusive of colour correction, size cropping and photoshop corrections) and upload to McCormick’s digital content database.
- Gather and upload photography from external contract photographers to the McCormick DAM (Digital Asset Manager).
- Work with content producers to understand project scope and objectives.
- Attend pre-production meetings.
- Assist videographer in setup and takedown of equipment for video shoots.
- Assist on set when needed.
- Create basic asset deliverables when needed (e.g. Animated GIF, advanced photoshop touch-ups).
- Ensure key recipe and product attributes are shown and all visual priorities are met across photography.
- Maintain an organized workflow for saving, storing and archiving content across hard drives.
- Contribute to an organized studio environment (e.g. regular studio sweeps to ensure all equipment is stored safely and in the proper location).
Candidate Profile:
- A degree in Photography or relevant experience.
- Proven experience in shooting food photography with a portfolio of images.
- Flexible and positive mindset – internal deadlines and priorities are constantly changing.
- Team player - must work daily with other creatives to produce content together.
- Able to take constructive feedback and action on it in real time, to make changes to images.
- Proficiency with Adobe (Photoshop and Lightroom).
- Ability to retouch, edit and colour correct photos.
