Europe Export Manager
We are looking for a Europe Export Manager to drive profitable growth, expand market presence, and strengthen distributor and customer partnerships across Europe, excluding Germany.
This role will focus on accelerating performance in the Nordics and developing high-potential white space markets.
Acting as a key business partner to Export Sales, Supply Chain, and Regional Finance teams, you will provide data‑driven insights, commercial governance, and recommendations to support sustainable and profitable growth across diverse and complex export markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct structured reviews of European distributors, including analysis of P&L and category performance.
- Monitor distributor profitability through analysis of gross margins, trade spend, pricing structures, and cost to serve.
- Ensure distributor performance is aligned with company margin targets.
- Lead monthly and quarterly distributor performance reviews with Export Sales and regional stakeholders.
- Highlight risks, variances, and corrective actions to support business performance.
- Coordinate annual budgeting and rolling forecasts for European distributors.
- Ensure volume, revenue, margin, and trade investment assumptions are robust and aligned with corporate targets.
- Partner with the Export Commercial team to evaluate commercial proposals, including pricing changes, promotions, new product launches, and distributor agreements.
- Build financial models and scenario analyses to support commercial decision‑making.
- Ensure compliance with internal financial controls, contractual terms, and corporate governance policies.
- Coordinate distributor audits where required.
- Identify financial and operational risks in the region, including currency volatility, credit risk, and geopolitical exposure.
- Recommend mitigation strategies to protect business performance.
- Act as the regional expert, bringing the voice of the customer and sharing insights on market dynamics, category performance, and regional developments.
- Candidate Profile
- Experience working with distributors in EMEA markets, or experience working within a distributor environment.
- Evidence of strong negotiation skills and contribution to strategic business growth.
- Proven track record of developing and leading joint business plans with customers or distributors.
- Ability to deliver KPIs on time and exceed targets.
- Track record of delivering innovative and stretching growth.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to prioritise effectively in a dynamic, complex environment.
- Strong influencing and relationship‑building skills.
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively in cross‑functional teams.
