The Demand & Supply Junior Planner plays a critical role in ensuring product availability and operational efficiency by balancing demand forecasts with supply plans. This position leverages historical data, market insights, and cross‑functional collaboration to develop accurate forecasts and optimize inventory levels. The role oversees supply flows from approved suppliers to meet customer service targets while controlling costs. Success is measured through forecast accuracy, service level performance, and effective inventory management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the UK Consumer Supply and Demand manager for the UK portfolio.
  • For an assigned product portfolio, analyze historical sales performance, assess key demand drivers, and prepare forecast data using statistical forecasting models. Continuously evaluate and improve forecast accuracy.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with Sales, Marketing, and Finance to align assumptions, reconcile significant variances, and integrate market intelligence into the demand plan.
  • Develop and manage supply plans for finished goods sourced from approved suppliers using SAP/APO MRP functionality, ensuring alignment with the demand forecast.
  • Oversee inventory levels to meet agreed targets, balancing customer service performance with working capital and cost objectives. Provide regular performance and management reports.
  • Monitor actual stock levels across sales warehouses, identifying and addressing deviations through proactive adjustments to material and production plans.
  • Drive continuous improvement in key performance indicators, focusing on Sales Forecast Accuracy, Customer Service Level, and Inventory targets.

Candidate Profile

  • Previous experience in FMCG Supply Chain.
  • Strong analytical and decision‑making skills.
  • Effective influencing and negotiation skills with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
  • APICS Certification and knowledge of SAP/APO preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and Power BI.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively engage with teams across all functions and levels.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Fluency in French is a plus.
