Overview
Reporting to the Senior Commercialisation Project Manager, you will be responsible for initiating and coordinating the pre-printed artwork process for new designs, new product developments and all other product changes related to artworks. You will work closely with a cross-functional team to make sure the pre-printed artworks are ready for production. You will also lead the internal effort to win and flawlessly deliver UK and EMEA Flavour Solutions (business to business) commercialisation projects. These include launches of both new products and revised products manufactured out of all plants in the UK and EMEA region. This is a pivotal role which ensures speed and innovation remain a core competency and that the team is kept focused, energized, and on-track to meet the objectives of our projects.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Initiates and co-ordinates the pre-printed artwork approval process
- Obtain translations from the external translation agency as required
- Create the resulting artwork in an accurate, consistent and timely way
- Maintain an electronic database of approved artwork in a uniform, tidy manner
- Approves pack copy documents & labels for in-house printed artwork
- Ensures that the pre-printed artwork process and accountabilities are well understood with the functions
- Project manages a range of straightforward “business as usual” commercialisation projects in a well-organised, co-operative way, with strong attention to detail with the support of our internal cross functions (e.g. Product/Packaging Development, Procurement, Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations, Technical, Finance)
- Understands and communicates priorities clearly, to drive action and engagement
- Leads and attends regular meetings to ensure that projects are progressing correctly, next steps are clear, issues are surfaced and resolved quickly and that support teams are aware of upcoming projects. Documents and communicates the results of these meetings clearly.
- Maintains accurate project data in the project database, activity trackers, reports etc, which supports the progression of the projects and the IBP process
- Keeps stakeholders informed of progress and aware of any major issues
- Escalates issues effectively so that line manager / stakeholders provide support to resolve the issue rapidly
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- University degree in a relevant discipline (or equivalent professional experience)
- Previous experience within a FMCG or related environment
- Understanding of the pre-printed packaging process would be beneficial
- An excellent “people person” who is able to get things done through cross functional teams
- Excellent interpersonal and diplomacy skills and the ability to network the organisation effectively
- Clear communication
- Able to gain alignment with and support from internal stakeholders and team members
- Experience in working with the UK market
