This role provides both inbound and outbound processes at the MUK (McCormick UK) Peterborough site. Supporting all logistics activities centered around outbound and inbound vehicle movements, both domestic and international, involving third-party service providers (e.g., STI, Havi) and internal CHT (Chris Hayter Transport) vehicle movements and deliveries. The role includes liaising within the CHT network to ensure all statutory and non-statutory requirements are met, maintaining safe and legal operations.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES #LI-DNI

  • Manage the Peterborough site Booking Diaries for inbound and outbound movements using existing tools, in collaboration with the MUK Customer Order Solutions team.
  • Escalate capacity constraints for inbound and outbound movements for discussion with the DC team.
  • Act as the main communication link between the Distribution Centre (DC) team and visiting/delivering drivers.
  • Coordinate communication between CHT Transport (Shunting Services and Customer Delivery Movements) and the Peterborough site to manage ETAs in collaboration with DC teams.
  • Ensure timely and accurate production of documentation for dispatch movements (domestic and export).
  • Book outbound deliveries with CHT transport management.
  • Manage site logistics for consumable and pallet delivery vehicles.
  • Oversee on-site vehicle movements and parking in collaboration with other teams.
  • Ensure correct vehicle sealing procedures, record seal information, and document photographic evidence of seals before vehicles leave the site.
  • Perform timely SAP bookings for dispatch and inbound inventory.
  • Maintain system-based filing and supporting documentation.
  • Ensure all documentation and operational procedures comply with McCormick requirements.

  • Experience working in distribution, inbound/outbound logistics, warehouse administration, or similar roles.
  • Proficient in transport management systems and SAP.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
