Our client assists water companies across the UK to collect data on non-domestic properties to enable accurate billing.

Why?

Due to new contract wins and a period of planned growth, they are now seeking self-motivated

Meter Investigators across the UK.

Full training will be given so previous experience is not essential.

What does a Meter Investigator do?

  • Basically, you will be responsible for locating and inspecting ‘lost’ water meters which are housed in meter chambers or within specific enclosures or buildings.
  • You will be required to accurately find, clean and photograph commercial water meter details within a geographical region using mobile technologies.
  • Additionally, there is a requirement to efficiently research, plan and execute daily workloads to meet business demands.
  • You will have a good awareness of Health & Safety- both for yourself and customers.
  • Access to a reliable home internet system and good IT skills.
  • As the face of the company, you will be smart, professional and courteous.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Experience of time management and route planning would be an advantage.

Anything else?

  • Part of your role will involve lifting heavy manhole covers so you will need a level of physical fitness…and you won’t mind getting dirty!
