Who?
Our client assists water companies across the UK to collect data on non-domestic properties to enable accurate billing.
Why?
Due to new contract wins and a period of planned growth, they are now seeking self-motivated Meter Investigators across the UK.
Full training will be given so previous experience is not essential.
What does a Meter Investigator do?
- Basically, you will be responsible for locating and inspecting ‘lost’ water meters which are housed in meter chambers or within specific enclosures or buildings.
- You will be required to accurately find, clean and photograph commercial water meter details within a geographical region using mobile technologies.
- Additionally, there is a requirement to efficiently research, plan and execute daily workloads to meet business demands.
- You will have a good awareness of Health & Safety- both for yourself and customers.
- Access to a reliable home internet system and good IT skills.
- As the face of the company, you will be smart, professional and courteous.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Literacy and numeracy skills.
- Experience of time management and route planning would be an advantage.
Anything else?
- Part of your role will involve lifting heavy manhole covers so you will need a level of physical fitness…and you won’t mind getting dirty!
- A basic Disclosure check will be required.
