Salary: £35,000 + uncapped monthly bonus (£71,000 OTE) + mileage allowance, laptop, mobile phone.

Who? Our client ZLX Business Solutions is a B2B consultancy company, based in Paisley, specialising in Business Law, HMRC Tax Relief, outsourcing payroll solutions and general accountancy. They are now seeking an ambitious and self-motivated Business Development Manager to sell the company’s R&D Tax Credit service to SMEs in the M62 corridor area.

What?

  • You will have previous experience in either a systems engineering role, or another technical position, in a company which uses automation (e.g. software, IT, food production).
  • Previous field sales experience in a related area.
  • Must be able to converse confidently and fluently at Board level.

Duties?

  • Generate your own leads to make appointments with SMEs to sell the company’s R&D Tax credit service.
  • Create and manage a database of customers within your given geographical area.
  • Attend related exhibitions and networking events which have the potential to supplement your client database.
  • Utilising your technical knowledge, you will be required to create the narrative on all your R&D submissions after a period of training.
  • You will be expected to build a network of introducers to add to and enhance your portfolio of clients.
  • Provide customers with a presentation on ZLX products with your primary focus being R&D tax credit claims.

Anything else?

  • Experience with accounts (an understanding of P&L, balance sheets etc.) would be an advantage.
