This is an exciting opportunity for a Grade C solicitor/fee earner to join the Clinical Negligence team of a progressive, forward-thinking, and client-focused, award-winning legal practice.
Based in Wirral, North West England, this firm has a local and national client base. The firm offers services in many different practice areas, including:
- Landlord & tenant
- Medical negligence
- Dental negligence
- Personal injury
- Civil litigation
We are currently recruiting a motivated and enthusiastic fee-earner to join our growing clinical negligence team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will work directly with a senior solicitor and Law Society panel member, supporting her with her case load, which includes high-value and complex claims for adults and children. There will also be the opportunity for the successful candidate to build up their own clinical negligence case load. Key tasks
- Working with and supporting a senior solicitor on complex clinical negligence claims, from inception to conclusion
- Handling pre and post issue clinical negligence claims from inception to conclusion
Essential skills, knowledge and experience
- Fee-earning experience to include handling/assisting with clinical negligence claims
- Litigation experience
- Strong grasp of current case law, legal practice and procedure
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Motivated and enthusiastic
- Good attention to detail
- Excellent client care and interpersonal skills
- Excellent administrative, organisation and time management skills
- Work well both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Able to thrive and adapt in a fast-paced work environment
- IT literacy – Microsoft Office and case management software, e.g. Proclaim
- Able to meet time and billing targets
Remuneration and Working Arrangements
This is a full-time role based in our offices in Birkenhead; however, we are happy to consider hybrid/flexible/remote arrangements for the right candidate. A number of our team are based elsewhere across England and Wales. Our office hours are Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5.30 pm. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
