Clinical Negligence Solicitor
Location: Liverpool Salary: £45,000 Seniority: Senior
A prestigious private practice law firm in Liverpool is presenting an excellent opportunity for a Clinical Negligence Solicitor to join its esteemed Clinical Negligence Team. The successful candidate will represent healthcare clients in complex clinical negligence cases, playing a crucial role in achieving the best possible outcomes for them.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a challenging claimant clinical negligence caseload, including Birth & Head Injuries, Paediatric & Orthopaedic Negligence, Surgical Errors, Cancer Misdiagnosis, Cerebral Palsy Matters, Dental Negligence, etc.
- Exhibit a professional, proactive approach with strong client care skills and a sensitive, sympathetic understanding of clients’ needs.
- Oversee all aspects of Clinical Negligence work and occasionally provide technical expertise and guidance to other team members.
- Manage caseloads of varying types and complexities effectively.
- Assist with casework, including handling a range of Clinical Negligence cases issued at court and demonstrating an excellent understanding of the Civil Procedure Rules and protocols.
- Attend to clients, take instructions, and prepare cases.
- Handle correspondence.
- Maintain accurate time costing procedures.
Ideal Candidate:
- Minimum of 3-5 years PQE in Clinical Negligence or Serious Injuries
- Proven experience handling complex, high-value cases.
- Strong knowledge of clinical negligence law and litigation procedures.
- Excellent research and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Negotiation and advocacy skills.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality legal services to clients.
- Proficient in IT skills, familiar with Microsoft Office applications and Proclaim.
