We are currently seeking Flood Modellers and Flood Analysts at all grades to join our dynamic team. Role Overview: As a Flood Modeller at McCloy Consulting, you will be involved in a range of interesting and engaging projects including:
- Flood Alleviation Projects
- Surface Water and Urban Drainage Design
- Natural Flood Management & River Restoration
- Catchment Management Solutions
You will work with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, environmental scientists, and hydrologists to deliver innovative, sustainable flood risk solutions for both public and private sector clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop hydraulic and hydrological models for flood risk assessment.
- Contribute to the design and delivery of flood alleviation and drainage projects.
- Provide technical support and solutions for surface water management and urban drainage.
- Participate in natural flood management and river restoration initiatives.
- Engage with clients, stakeholders, and regulators to ensure project success.
Qualifications & Skills:
- A degree in a relevant discipline (Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, Hydrology, or related field).
- Experience with hydraulic and hydrological modelling software (e.g., InfoWorks ICM, TUFLOW, HEC-RAS, Flood Modeller).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
- Understanding of UK and Irish flood risk policy and legislation.
- For senior positions (inc. experience graduates and above): proven experience in managing projects, mentoring junior staff, and client engagement.
