We are now recruiting for a range of new roles across the organisation – this is more than just a job opportunity, it’s a chance to influence how we work, and make a real difference to the people we support.

About The Role

We are looking for a supportive and motivated Team Manager to join our team in Biggleswade. This role is all about making a real difference to people’s lives.

Responsibilities

  • Make sure people get the right support in a way that works for them.

You will do this by keeping support plans up to date, ensuring they reflect what people want and need, and help them build confidence, learn new skills, and live as independently as possible.

  • Support and guide your team to do their best work.

This includes helping new staff settle in and ensuring everyone has the training and support they need to feel confident in their role.

  • Work closely with the management team to keep things running smoothly, ensuring the best support is provided – from planning rotas and recruiting new team members to making sure there are enough staff in place to meet people’s needs.
  • Lead by example, build positive relationships, communicate clearly, and make sure people are safe, treated with respect, supported to live a life they enjoy.

Keep good records and carry out regular checks to maintain high quality of support.

About You

You don’t need previous management experience – this could be your first step into a leadership role, and we will support you every step of the way.

We will support you to build your confidence in leading a team, helping with day‑to‑day support, monthly support and development meetings with your team, carrying out quality checks, and developing others.

  • Do You Have
  • Around two years experience in social care, ideally in supported living, residential, or community services.

Understanding of managing risk and recognising when someone needs extra support.

  • Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care and Leadership & Management, or willingness to work towards it with our support.
  • Understanding of key legislation, such as the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, and safeguarding.
  • Confidence using systems like Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and care management systems.
  • Are You
  • Organised, able to keep accurate records, and understand the importance of good documentation and confidentiality.
  • Kind, positive, a great listener and communicator, and someone who genuinely cares about people while staying flexible in your approach.
  • Ready for a role where you can lead a team and make a real impact on people’s lives.
  • Location

Based at our service in Biggleswade, with community work and occasional meetings or training.

Hours

Full‑time role (39 hours per week).

Flexible working to meet the needs of the service, including helping with rotas and ensuring safe staffing.

On‑call rota, occasional evening or weekend work if needed.
