Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a Buyer at McCauley Trailers Ltd. The Buyer will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and maintaining relationships with suppliers to ensure the timely procurement of materials and components. Tasks include managing inventory levels, placing purchase orders, conducting market analysis, and assisting in cost-saving initiatives. The Buyer will also monitor supplier performance and compliance with quality standards and liaise with third parties including TSS.

Qualifications

  • Essential minimum of 3 years experience in Heavy Engineering Environment
  • Purchasing (Trailer Manufacturing Environment is desirable)
  • Experience of Sage 50
  • Experience of Trader Support Service (TSS)
  • Experience of sourcing engineered parts and components, wheels, axles, steel.
  • Strong procurement and negotiation skills with experience in vendor management and sourcing
  • Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage deadlines efficiently
