The Vacancy McCarthy & Stone are recruiting a professional Care Supervisor to join the team at our prestigious Elles House development in Wallington, Surrey.

Compensation & Hours

  • Hourly rate: £16.78 per hour for day shifts, £13.03 per hour for sleeping night shifts, plus an extra £1 for every hour worked from midnight Friday to midnight Sunday.
  • Hours: 34 per week, including a mix of day shifts and sleeping night shifts. 23 hours night and 11 hours day per week.
  • Day shifts vary between 08:45–16:30 or 16:15–09:30.
  • Night shifts are from 21:30–09:00.
  • Care Supervisors sleep between 23:00–07:00, providing emergency support during that period.

About The Role

We are seeking a professional Care Supervisor to exemplify the high‑quality customer standards we are renowned for, supporting the management and smooth running of a thriving community of active and independent older people.

About You

  • Warm, friendly, organized, and self‑motivated with experience in a care or support environment and excellent care skills.
  • Desire to work in the Health and Social care sector and preferably hold a QCF Health and Social Care (Adults) Level 3 qualification, although alternative qualifications and relevant experience will be considered.
  • Ready to manage the security of the development, ensure safety and wellbeing of homeowners, and oversee Care and Support teams.
  • Capable of coordinating and facilitating activities that strengthen community spirit within the development.
  • Driven to continue growing skills, leading by example and thinking on feet.
  • Able to make a difference to the wellbeing and happiness of older people.
