McCarthy Stone are recruiting for a professional Relief Care Assistant to join the team at our prestigious Kingfisher Court development in Taunton, Somerset. Built in 2022, Kingfisher Court is a Retirement Living Plus development that consists of 62 apartments with the over 70\’s in mind, providing excellent on-site facilities and set within beautiful grounds.
Hourly rate: £13.26 per hour, plus up to an additional £1.30 for working evenings and weekends. Hours: To cover shifts on an ‘as and when’ basis when required, to be discussed with the development Manager.
About the role
- Provide the highest quality care to residents, supporting them to live well in later life.
- Deliver housekeeping and domestic support across the estate, including apartment cleans.
- Encourage residents to participate in activities that support health and wellbeing.
- Assist with appointments, transport, escort visits and shopping as needed.
About You
- Warm, friendly, ideally with experience in a care or support environment.
- Passion for improving wellbeing and happiness of older people; enjoys team work in a busy setting.
- Driven to deliver excellent customer service.
- Wants to work in the health and social care sector; preferably has a QCF Health and Social Care (Adults) Level 2 qualification, or alternative qualifications with relevant experience.
