Due to our evolving care and lifestyle delivery, we are looking for passionate Mobile Care Assistants to join our growing care team. To be considered for this vacancy, you must have a valid full UK driving licence and a car.
Location: Across Hexham & Surrounding Areas – A valid full UK driving licence and use of your own vehicle is essential to be considered for this role. Travel expenses covered, mileage paid at 43p per mile.
Hourly rate: £14.50 per hour, plus earn up to an additional £1.30 for working evening and weekend hours. Hours: Full time and part time hours available per week on a rota basis that will include mornings, evenings and alternate weekends anytime between 7am to 10pm.
Key Responsibilities- Support Individual Homeowners: provide personalised care, including help with daily activities, personal hygiene, and medication assistance. You will also offer domestic support, such as cleaning, shopping, and managing household tasks.
- Domestic: maintain communal areas within developments to a high standard, ensuring a clean, tidy, and welcoming environment for all homeowners.
- Social Support: assist homeowners with social activities, transport arrangements, and attending appointments, enhancing wellbeing and social connections.
- Skills & Experience: Ideally you will have previous experience in a care environment with a Level 2 Health and Social Care. However, training can be provided. Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and time management are essential.
- Driving Licence: Valid full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between developments.
- Flexibility: Ability to work on a rota including early mornings, lates, and alternate weekends.
- Travel expenses covered: use your car for work with travel expenses reimbursed and parking on site. Mileage paid at 43p per mile.
- Uniform and mobile phone provided.
- Professional Development: support for training opportunities, including potential to work towards a Diploma in Health and Social Care and progression to a senior care assistant role.
