McCarthy Stone is looking for a professional Care Assistant to join the team at our Ellisfields Court development in Taunton, Somerset. Built in 2014 and consisting of 58 apartments, Ellisfields Court encourages independent living for the over 70s, who may or may not need care.
Hourly rate: £12.39 per hour, plus up to an additional £1.30 for working evenings and weekends. Hours: 16 hours per week.

About the role: As a Care Assistant, you will provide high-quality, individual care to our residents, enabling them to live well in later life. You will support with housekeeping, domestic tasks, and encourage residents to participate in activities that promote their health and wellbeing. Your duties will include helping residents book appointments, arrange transport, escort visits, and assist with shopping. Each day offers diverse opportunities to use your interpersonal skills to make a positive impact.
About you: You are a warm, friendly individual, ideally with some experience in care or support environments. You are passionate about enhancing the wellbeing and happiness of older people and enjoy teamwork in a busy setting. You are committed to delivering excellent customer service. You are interested in working in the Health and Social Care sector, preferably holding a QCF Health and Social Care (Adults) Level 2 qualification, though relevant experience and alternative qualifications will be considered.
