Overview
Apprenticeship Sales Consultant role focused on supporting the full customer sales journey from enquiry to completion while developing professional sales skills through a nationally recognised apprenticeship.
You will work with experienced Sales Consultants and the wider team to gain hands-on experience in customer engagement, relationship-building, property sales processes, and ethical selling practices.
Responsibilities
- Customer engagement & experience: Act as a welcoming first point of contact for customers via phone, email, online enquiries and in person; support customers through their early enquiry journey with accurate and helpful information; build positive relationships and understand customer needs; ensure all interactions reflect the company values and customer-first approach.
- Sales support: Assist with managing and updating the sales pipeline and CRM system; support Sales Consultants with appointments, viewings, follow-ups and customer communications; learn to qualify leads and identify customer needs; assist with preparation of sales documentation and reservation paperwork.
- Marketing & presentation: Help maintain high standards in show settings, sales suites or appointment spaces; support local marketing activity including events, open days and community engagement; learn how to present products and services confidently and professionally.
- Administration & compliance: Accurately record customer information in line with GDPR and company policies; support sales administration activities ensuring documentation is completed correctly; understand the importance of compliance, ethical sales practices and customer transparency.
- Learning & development: Actively participate in all elements of the Sales Consultant Level 4 apprenticeship; apply learning from training into day-to-day work; seek feedback and demonstrate continuous improvement in sales and customer skills.
- Knowledge & Experience
- No prior sales experience required, but beneficial.
- Exposure to customer interaction (e. g. retail, hospitality, volunteering).
- Experience working in a professional or team-based environment.
- Experience using digital systems (e. g. booking systems, databases, email platforms).
- Experience in working towards regular targets/KPIs would be desirable.
Skills & Qualifications
- Essential: GCSE English and Maths.
- Essential: Level 3 Qualification (BTEC, A Level, T Level) - any subject - pass.
- Course information: Sales executive (level 4), Route: Sales, marketing and procurement, Apprenticeship Level: Higher.
- Training & Working Arrangements
- Working Week: Tuesday - Saturday, 10:00am - 5:30pm; 20 minute lunch break.
- Expected Duration: 1 Year 6 Months.
- Training Provider: Derby Business College Limited.
