About The Role: A customer-centric House Manager to exemplify high-quality customer standards and enhance homeowners’ quality of life, enabling them to maintain their independence. This is a diverse role encompassing high-level customer service, front of house, and facilities management with a focus on building a strong community through event coordination and regular meetings to report company updates and address residents’ priorities.
Responsibilities
- Welcoming new Homeowners and supporting them to settle into their apartments.
- Providing a professional front of house service and dealing with all visitors in a friendly manner.
- Being the first point of contact for all Homeowners and offering help, support and advice as necessary.
- Working in collaboration with partners and suppliers to ensure the smooth running of the estate.
- Being the “face” of McCarthy Stone for the families and friends of Homeowners.
- Handling Homeowners issues with sensitivity and respecting privacy and confidentiality.
- Managing the development – gardens and grounds – to provide a safe, secure, well-maintained, and pleasant environment.
- Facilitating social interaction and helping Homeowners enjoy retirement living to the full.
- Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety requirements.
The Successful Candidate Will Have The Following Key Competencies

- Extensive experience in a professional customer service-oriented position.
- Professional approach with high-quality standards.
- Thrives in a busy, varied role where every day is different.
- Resilience and effective problem-solving abilities.
- Aware of basic Health and Safety considerations (advantage).
- Good computer literacy including Microsoft Word and Outlook.
- First aid qualifications are advantageous; training will be provided on commencement of the role.
