Are you a newly qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, or ICAEW) with a passion for turning data into decisions and insights into real impact?
We are looking for a commercially minded analyst who goes beyond the numbers – someone who understands their story, connects them to business strategy, and uses them to drive performance. This is more than a reporting role.
You will work closely with stakeholders across Land & Build, Sales & Marketing, and the wider Commercial Finance team, delivering proactive insights that shape investment decisions, optimise performance, and influence strategic direction. You will bring clarity to complexity, streamline reporting, and challenge assumptions- all while building trusted relationships across the business.
To deliver in this role, you will need a strong technical foundation – confident in financial modelling, advanced Excel, variance analysis, and interpreting financial data with precision. You will be a commercially minded analyst who sees the bigger picture, understands what the numbers really mean, and can link financials to business performance and KPIs.
You will also be an effective communicator, skilled in presenting complex insights in a clear, actionable way to non-finance stakeholders, with the interpersonal strength to become a trusted advisor. Your proactive mindset will drive you to challenge the data, spot trends, and surface risks or opportunities before others do. And as a process-oriented, organised individual, you will look to continuously improve, automate, and deliver accurate reporting at pace.
Success in this role also calls for someone resilient and adaptable – comfortable managing shifting priorities, ad hoc requests, and cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced environment.
If you are naturally curious, eager to make your mark, and looking to grow into a Finance Business Partner role or build a long-term career in commercial finance, this opportunity offers the exposure and development to get you there.
We Will Give You
- Competitive salary plus discretionary annual bonus
- Company Pension Scheme
- Life Assurance
- Professional subscriptions paid for
- 24 days holiday (rising to 28) plus bank holidays
- 2-3 Days in the Bournemouth Office
- Two fully paid volunteering days annually, supported by the McCarthy Stone Foundation
- Private Healthcare Insurance (Employee only), remote GP access, 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme (including counselling and legal advice), and eyecare vouchers
- Colleague benefits booklet offering discounts and promotions
- Family-friendly policies
Your Impact
- Be a Strategic Partner: Work closely with Commercial Finance and business teams (Land & Build, Sales & Marketing) to deliver insight, influence direction, and drive better outcomes.
- Deliver Decision Support: Provide timely, accurate reporting and variance analysis that enables smart decision-making and investment planning.
- Optimise Performance: Interpret key metrics, monitor performance, and identify gaps to forecast—offering practical solutions to close them.
- Automate and Innovate: Develop standardised, automated reporting tools that make complex information clear, accessible, and actionable.
- Support Business Growth: Evaluate commercial opportunities and model scenarios that support both operational and strategic objectives.
Your Attributes
You will bring:
- A professional qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ICAEW or equivalent)
- Proven experience in financial modelling, analysis, and business partnering
- Excellent communication skills—you simplify the complex and influence with confidence
- Experience in the construction or property industry (desirable but not essential)
