If you are a strong people leader with a background in high-volume trade, merchant or retail-led environments, and you thrive on driving performance through others, this role offers genuine scope, autonomy and reward.
Reporting into the senior branch leadership team, you will take full ownership of a large department within a high-turnover flagship branch, leading sizeable teams and playing a critical role in overall branch performance. Service, availability and commercial standards are the lifeblood of the business and your ability to create engaged, high-performing teams will be central to success.
You will have the platform to influence, improve and innovate within your department, while operating in a business that values pace, common sense and hands-on leadership.
- Leadership, coaching and development of managers and departmental teams
- Owning departmental KPIs, budgets and commercial performance
- Performance management, succession planning and talent development
- Ensuring a highly commercial, safe and compliant trading environment
- Acting as a senior ambassador for the business within the branch and wider operation
Proven experience as a Store Manager, Branch Manager, Department Manager, Senior Manager, Trading Manager or equivalent within builders’ merchants, trade, or high-volume retail environments. Strong commercial acumen with the ability to interpret data and drive performance.
