An established and growing gaming business is seeking an experienced Operations Director to lead and shape its expanding casino division during a critical phase of growth and transformation. This is a senior, high-impact role with full accountability for operational performance, culture, compliance and commercial delivery across a growing portfolio of UK casinos, including existing sites and forthcoming acquisitions.
With multiple venues already in operation and further sites planned through acquisition, the business requires a credible, hands-on Operations Director who can set direction, stabilise performance and build a high-performing operating model. You will take ownership of day-to-day operations while also playing a key role in strategic growth, integration of newly acquired sites, and long-term commercial development.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and operational leadership across the casino portfolio
- Drive commercial performance, profitability and revenue growth
- Lead cultural integration following acquisitions, embedding consistent standards and ways of working
- Ensure full compliance with UK gambling legislation, LCCP requirements and regulatory best practice
- Build strong, visible leadership presence across sites, earning credibility quickly
- Develop and coach senior casino leadership teams, strengthening succession and capability
- Balance service excellence with operational discipline and cost control
- Act as the senior operational interface between UK operations and wider group stakeholders
About You
- You will already operate at a senior level within the casino, gaming or betting industry, with a strong grasp of both the commercial and regulatory realities of the sector, or alternatively within retail or hospitality.
- Proven experience in a senior operational leadership role within casinos, gaming or betting
- Strong working knowledge of gambling regulation and compliance frameworks
- A track record of leading multi-site operations and senior management teams
- Experience integrating acquired businesses or turning around underperforming operations
- Commercial acumen combined with a strong service and customer mindset
- The ability to cut through complexity, challenge assumptions and establish facts quickly
- Gravitas, credibility and the confidence to influence at board and group level
Location & Travel
This is a national role with regular travel across the UK and periodic engagement with international stakeholders. Flexibility on base location is available for the right individual.
