The Opportunity

Do you have experience working as an Area Sales Manager within the KBB, bathrooms, interiors or closely related sectors?

An established, design-led manufacturer and supplier within the KBB and bathroom marketplace is recruiting an Area Sales Manager to take full commercial ownership of a defined territory across retail and project channels.

This is a high-impact, field-based role where success is built through structured territory management, high-quality customer engagement and disciplined sales execution. You’ll spend the majority of your time in front of customers, developing independent retailers, showroom partners, merchants and project stakeholders to deliver sustainable and profitable growth.

This opportunity will suit a commercial, self-driven sales professional who understands showroom-led retail environments, values long-term relationship building, and thrives in a target-driven, accountability-led role.

The Role

  • Take full accountability for sales performance across your assigned territory
  • Deliver consistent, profitable growth through proactive account management and new business development
  • Operate primarily in the field (minimum four days per week), managing a high-quality pipeline of sales activity
  • Execute a structured and disciplined sales process, maintaining accurate CRM data and forecasting
  • Work closely with internal teams and distribution partners to maximise opportunity across retail and project channels

Key Responsibilities

Territory Management Sales Execution

  • Own and deliver sales targets across your region
  • Manage and grow an existing account base while identifying and converting new business opportunities
  • Plan and deliver well-structured customer visits, product presentations and range reviews
  • Support customers with training, merchandising standards and point-of-sale excellence

Customer Relationship Development

  • Build long-term partnerships with showroom owners, managers, designers and decision-makers
  • Identify growth opportunities within accounts and execute tailored development plans
  • Maintain strong visibility within key customers to protect range presence and brand position
  • Handle customer issues with pace and professionalism to protect relationships

Commercial Market Focus

  • Develop and deliver a clear territory business plan aligned with national strategy
  • Monitor competitor activity, pricing and promotions within your territory
  • Identify gaps in distribution and display, implementing targeted actions to address them
  • Share market insight, customer feedback and performance data with internal stakeholders

About You

Essential

  • Proven experience in a field-based Area Sales / Territory Sales role
  • Background within KBB, bathrooms, interiors or a closely related showroom/merchant environment
  • Strong new business capability alongside structured account management experience
  • Excellent organisation, planning and time management skills
  • Commercially astute with confidence in negotiation and influencing
  • Disciplined CRM user with strong pipeline and forecasting capability
  • Full UK driving licence

Desirable

  • Experience working with distributor or indirect sales models
  • Exposure to showroom-led retail sales environments
  • Experience supporting project or contract-led sales activity
  • Product training or presentation experience
