Turn Waste Into Opportunity. Build Relationships. Make Great Money.

We're looking for a commercially minded, energetic Business Development Executive to join a growing, market-leading business operating in the construction and infrastructure sector. You don't need industry experience. In fact, we'd rather hire the right person with the right attitude.

What matters is that you're curious, driven, enjoy speaking to people and aren't afraid to roll your sleeves up to understand how things work. One day you could be in the office identifying opportunities. The next, you're out visiting customers, walking a site, following a tipper lorry's journey, and uncovering commercial opportunities others have completely missed.

If the idea of spotting an opportunity, picking up the phone, building relationships and making things happen excites you, you'll fit right in.

You'll be helping construction businesses find smarter, more sustainable ways to move and reuse materials between sites. Think soil, aggregates, excavated material and construction by-products that would otherwise become waste. Your job is to identify opportunities, engage new customers, build long-term relationships and create commercial solutions that benefit everyone involved. This isn't a transactional sales role. It's consultative, relationship-driven and genuinely makes a positive environmental impact.

We're looking for someone who:

  • Loves building relationships and talking to new people
  • Is naturally curious and asks questions
  • Enjoys getting out from behind a desk and meeting customers face-to-face
  • Has the confidence to pick up the phone and create opportunities
  • Gets a buzz from winning business
  • Can spot opportunities others overlook
  • Wants to learn a specialist industry from experienced experts
  • Is self-motivated, resilient and happy working autonomously

Previous sales experience would be beneficial, but attitude, energy and a willingness to learn are far more important.

Why join?

  • £35,000 basic salary
  • Realistic OTE of £55,000+
  • Established, growing and highly respected business
  • Genuine career progression opportunities
  • Hybrid mix of office, field and customer-facing activity
  • Family-oriented culture with regular social and family events
  • Supportive leadership team that genuinely invests in its people
  • Unique, sustainable industry that's helping transform how construction materials are reused across the UK

This is the type of role where no two days are the same. You'll be learning something new, meeting different people, solving commercial challenges and helping build a greener, more sustainable construction industry. If you're ambitious, commercially aware and looking for a sales role that's a little different from the norm, we'd love to hear from you.
