A leading industrial manufacturing and recycling business is looking to recruit a commercially focused and analytically minded Finance Business Partner to join its operational finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified finance professional who thrives on partnering with operational stakeholders, influencing decision-making, and driving financial performance within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Working closely with site leadership teams, you will play a pivotal role in delivering financial insight, challenging performance, and supporting strategic business objectives.
You will be the primary finance contact for operational and commercial teams on-site, ensuring robust financial controls are maintained while providing clear, meaningful analysis to support performance improvement and business growth.
Key Responsibilities:- Acting as the primary finance business partner to site and operational management teams
- Building strong relationships with key stakeholders, providing commercial challenge and support
- Delivering meaningful financial analysis, performance metrics, and operational insights
- Supporting new projects, investments, and business initiatives through financial evaluation and guidance
- Leading the month-end process, producing accurate management reporting and detailed variance analysis
- Presenting financial results and performance commentary to senior operational stakeholders
- Preparing annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-term financial plans
- Monitoring key business KPIs and translating financial data into actionable recommendations
- Ensuring balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls are robust, accurate, and compliant
- Supporting year-end audit requirements and providing information to external auditors
- Driving continuous improvement across finance processes, reporting, and systems
- Managing and developing a Financial Analyst
- Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Previous experience in a Finance Business Partner, Management Accountant, or Operational Finance role
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence and challenge stakeholders at all levels
- Experience supporting operational teams within a manufacturing, industrial, logistics, engineering, or process-driven environment
- Advanced Excel skills and strong financial modelling capability
- Experience using Power BI or similar reporting tools
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and provide practical recommendations
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Experience managing or mentoring junior finance team members would be advantageous
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach with a passion for continuous improvement
