The Role
Reporting into the senior leadership team, you'll take ownership of a significant operation, leading large teams and driving performance across every aspect of the business. This is a highly visible role where you'll spend your time developing people, improving operational standards and creating a culture where teams are engaged, accountable and consistently deliver. You'll have the opportunity to influence the direction of the operation, implement improvements and play a key role in the continued growth of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading, coaching and developing large operational teams.
- Driving productivity, operational standards and commercial performance.

- Taking ownership of departmental KPIs, budgets and operational targets.

Ideal Candidate
- Experience leading large teams within food retail, wholesale, distribution, builders' merchants, DIY or another fast-paced operational environment.
- Currently working as a Store Manager, General Manager, Operations Manager, Branch Manager, Trading Manager, Warehouse Operations Manager, Distribution Manager or similar.
- A hands-on leader who enjoys being visible and developing people.
- Strong commercial awareness with experience delivering operational KPIs.
- Comfortable managing change and improving performance.
- Someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys taking ownership.
