Lead Growth. Inspire Leaders. Shape the Future.

This is a rare opportunity to take ownership of a significant regional business operation with responsibility for commercial performance, operational excellence and the leadership of a large, diverse workforce.

Leading a multi-million-pound operation spanning multiple locations, you'll have full accountability for business performance, people strategy and long-term growth. Working as part of a senior leadership team, you'll play a key role in shaping strategy, challenging thinking and driving sustainable business improvement across one of the organisation's largest regions.

We're looking for an ambitious leader who combines commercial instinct, operational credibility and exceptional people leadership. This role would suit someone who thrives on pace, enjoys healthy challenge and can inspire high-performing teams to deliver outstanding results.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Operations Director, you will take full ownership of a large and complex business area, leading a team of senior operational leaders responsible for multiple locations and a substantial workforce. You will drive growth, improve performance and create alignment across the region, ensuring operational excellence, customer satisfaction and commercial success remain at the heart of every decision. This is a highly visible leadership role with genuine long-term progression opportunities for an individual looking to continue their executive leadership journey.

Key Responsibilities

  • Full P&L ownership, delivering revenue, profit and growth targets.
  • Lead, coach and develop a team of senior operational leaders.
  • Create and deliver strategic business plans that support long-term growth.
  • Drive operational efficiency, continuous improvement and service excellence.
  • Build a high-performance culture focused on accountability, engagement and results.
  • Champion health, safety and compliance standards across all operations.
  • Partner with commercial teams to maximise customer retention and profitable growth.
  • Lead organisational change and transformation initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve performance, productivity and customer outcomes.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders internally and externally.
  • Support acquisition opportunities and successful integration programmes where required.

About You

You may currently be an Area Director, Regional Director, Operations Director, Managing Director, Divisional Director or General Manager within a large, multi-site organisation. Most importantly, you'll bring the leadership capability, commercial acumen and ambition needed to lead at scale.

We're particularly interested in leaders from sectors such as:

  • Retail
  • Logistics and Distribution
  • Transport
  • Facilities Management
  • Manufacturing
  • Industrial Services
  • Business Services
  • Hospitality
  • Automotive
  • Construction Products

You will demonstrate:

  • Significant experience leading large, geographically dispersed operations.
  • Full P&L responsibility within a complex trading environment.
  • A track record of delivering commercial growth and operational improvement.
  • Experience managing and developing senior leadership teams.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • The confidence to challenge constructively and drive positive change.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership capability.
  • A resilient, energetic and highly driven approach.
  • Ambition to progress into broader executive leadership positions in the future.

Why Apply?

This is not a role for someone looking to maintain the status quo. It's an opportunity to lead at scale, influence business strategy, shape organisational culture and build a long-term executive career within a successful and growing organisation. You'll join a business that values strong leadership, commercial thinking and innovation, giving you the autonomy and support required to make a genuine impact.
