We’re recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to take ownership of a flagship operation for a growing and forward-thinking business. This is a standout opportunity to lead a high-profile site in close proximity to head office, offering real visibility and the chance to make a tangible impact.
As Site Manager, you will take full responsibility for site operations, plant, equipment, and personnel, ensuring safe, compliant, and highly efficient delivery. This role requires a hands-on leader who can optimise performance, drive standards, and build a strong, high-performing team culture.
The Ideal Candidate
- WAMITAB qualification is desirable but not essential
- Proven experience leading teams in a site-based environment
- Background in waste management, quarrying, plant operations, or similar heavy industry
- Strong understanding of environmental permits, HSE legislation, and site operating plans
- A solution-focused, can-do attitude with the ability to adapt and make things happen
- Confident, resilient leader who can motivate teams and manage performance effectively
- Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all site operations, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient performance
- Deliver waste and/or quarry management plans in line with regulatory and business requirements
- Manage and develop site teams, including performance, training, recruitment, and engagement
- Plan and resource both short and long-term operational activities
- Maximise plant utilisation and minimise downtime through effective management of maintenance and defects
- Ensure full compliance across Health & Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards
- Complete and oversee all site administration including reporting, payroll data, and cost control
- Maintain high standards of site housekeeping, infrastructure, and security
- Lead on risk assessments, method statements, and delivery of toolbox talks
- Drive continuous improvement and adapt operations to meet changing customer and business needs
