Overview

We’re recruiting for a Class 2 Driver / Site Operative to join a busy industrial site environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys practical, outdoor work and wants a long-term, stable position with opportunities to learn and develop.

As a Class 2 Driver / Site Operative, you’ll play a key role in supporting site operations, keeping internal roadways clean, maintaining environmental systems, and ensuring site safety standards are met at all times. This is a varied role, not just driving, and would suit someone hands-on who’s happy getting stuck in.

Ideal Candidate

  • Holds a Class 2 (Category C) licence
  • Practical, hands-on and comfortable working outdoors
  • Strong awareness of health & safety
  • Reliable, proactive and able to work independently
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to learn new skills

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate a road sweeper / vehicle to maintain internal roads
  • Carry out site inspections, road checks and report issues
  • Maintain and monitor the wheel wash system
  • Support environmental compliance (dust control, site checks, defect reporting)
  • Assist with general site duties, cleaning, maintenance and weighbridge cover
