We’re recruiting for a Retail L&D Trainer to join a well-established, fast-paced retail business at a key point in its growth and transformation. This is a field-based role covering stores across the Northern region, working closely with store and regional leadership teams to support performance, consistency and customer experience across a multi-site environment.
The Role – Retail L&D Trainer
As a Retail L&D Trainer, you’ll split your time between delivering structured training and working directly in-store to coach and develop teams. This isn’t just classroom-based — you’ll be hands-on in stores, building relationships with Store Managers and supporting wider operational improvements.
What you’ll be doing:
- Delivering engaging training sessions across multiple retail locations
- Coaching Store Managers and teams to improve performance and behaviours
- Supporting onboarding and development of new store leaders
- Driving consistency in customer experience standards
- Partnering with Area Managers and senior stakeholders
- Providing practical, in-store coaching and day-to-day support
About You
We’re looking for a Retail L&D Trainer with a strong grounding in training delivery who is confident working across multiple sites and engaging with store leadership teams.
- Experience in retail training / L&D (multi-site or field-based preferred)
- Strong facilitation skills — confident delivering to groups and individuals
- Able to coach and influence Store Managers and teams
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, target-driven retail environment
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Flexible and open to regular regional travel, including occasional overnight stays
The Details
- Field-based role across the Northern region
- Typically 3 days in-store, 2 days working from home
- Travel is fully expensed
- Bonus included (discussed at later stage)
- Reporting into the L&D Manager as part of a wider L&D team
Why Apply?
This is a great opportunity for a developing or established Retail L&D Trainer who wants more exposure across a wider region and the chance to work closely with senior retail leaders. You’ll be part of a team driving real change across stores, with a mix of delivery, coaching and project work — not just a standard training role. If you’ve got a strong training background in retail and enjoy being out in the field making an impact, this is well worth a conversation.
