We are recruiting an experienced and quality-driven Landfill CQA Inspector to support critical infrastructure and engineering projects across non-hazardous and inert waste sites across the Northwest. This role plays a key role in ensuring compliance with Environment Agency requirements, delivering high standards of construction monitoring, and contributing to sustainable environmental outcomes.
Working across multiple sites, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the construction of landfill infrastructure including new cells and leachate/gas management systems. If you’re passionate about engineering excellence, environmental compliance, and delivering projects the right way, this could be the ideal opportunity for you.
Ideal Candidate- Degree in Civil, Geotechnical, Environmental Engineering or related discipline
- Experience in landfill engineering, earthworks, geosynthetics, or CQA
- Strong understanding of geotechnical principles and landfill containment systems
- Excellent documentation, reporting, and communication skills
- Willingness to travel and work predominantly on site across the UK
- Supervise construction works to ensure compliance with specifications, drawings, and regulatory standards
- Oversee and verify field and laboratory testing including compaction and permeability testing
- Review materials, workmanship, and escalate non-conformance where required
- Produce accurate daily site records, inspection logs, and input into CQA plans and validation reports
- Communicate effectively with contractors, designers, stakeholders, and the Environment Agency to ensure smooth project execution
