We're recruiting a Health & Safety Manager for a well-established manufacturing business that has recently invested over £4 million in automation and site improvements and is committed to raising standards across the organisation.
The business openly recognises that there is work to do. This is a company on a journey, looking for a Health & Safety professional who can help shape the next chapter, influence behaviours, challenge legacy thinking and drive a genuine culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Lead the site's Health & Safety strategy and continuous improvement roadmap Drive positive behavioural and cultural change throughout the organisation Build strong relationships with managers, supervisors and employees at all levels Review, improve and embed Health & Safety systems, policies and procedures Take ownership of risk management, audits, inspections and compliance activities Investigate incidents, identify root causes and implement sustainable corrective actions Support operational teams in developing practical and effective safe systems of work Lead Health & Safety training initiatives and improve workforce engagement Champion accountability and ownership of Health & Safety across all departments Ensure compliance with UK Health & Safety legislation and relevant industry standards Support and maintain ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and wider management systems Monitor performance, analyse trends and report progress to senior leadership
Health & Safety leadership experience within manufacturing, engineering, industrial or similarly complex environments NEBOSH qualification, with Diploma, NVQ Level 6 or equivalent highly desirable Strong knowledge of ISO 45001 and Health & Safety management systems Experience driving cultural and behavioural safety improvements A strong understanding of UK Health & Safety legislation Experience leading audits, investigations and risk management activities Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills The confidence to positively challenge and influence operational leaders A practical, hands-on approach and visible leadership style A genuine passion for creating safer, better workplaces
