Looking for a varied HR role where you can get involved in more than one area of the employee lifecycle? We're recruiting for an HR Generalist to join an established and growing business, offering the opportunity to work closely with managers and employees across multiple locations. This is a hands-on, people-focused opportunity where you'll be involved in everything from employee relations and performance management to recruitment, onboarding, training and employee wellbeing.

You'll be joining a supportive team where you'll have the opportunity to build relationships across the business, contribute your ideas and continue developing your HR experience. Whether you're already working in a generalist HR position or you're an experienced HR Advisor or HR Officer looking for a new challenge, we'd love to hear from you.

As an HR Generalist, you'll provide practical HR support and guidance to managers and employees, helping them navigate day-to-day people matters while ensuring policies and procedures are followed consistently. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as a key point of contact for managers and employees, providing advice and guidance on HR queries
  • Supporting employee relations matters including disciplinaries, grievances, absence and performance management
  • Advising managers on HR policies, procedures and UK employment legislation
  • Managing recruitment and onboarding activities, including contracts, right-to-work checks and inductions
  • Supporting training, development and employee performance initiatives
  • Maintaining accurate employee records, HR systems and documentation
  • Getting involved in employee engagement, wellbeing and inclusion initiatives
  • Supporting HR policy reviews and ensuring procedures remain up to date
  • Producing HR reports and management information
  • Assisting with organisational change and wider people-related projects
  • Building strong working relationships with managers and employees across the business

We're looking for an HR Generalist who enjoys working with people, is confident providing advice and wants to continue developing their HR career. Ideally, you'll have:

  • Previous experience in a generalist HR role, such as HR Advisor, HR Officer, HR Coordinator or similar
  • Experience supporting employee relations matters, particularly absence, disciplinary, grievance and performance processes
  • A good working understanding of UK employment legislation and HR best practice
  • Confidence communicating with managers and employees at different levels
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Experience working with HR systems and Microsoft 365
  • A professional, approachable and solutions-focused attitude
  • CIPD Level 3 qualification preferred, or a willingness to continue developing your HR knowledge

You don't need to have managed every HR situation independently, but you should have a good understanding of generalist HR and the confidence to provide guidance, recognise when additional support is needed and take ownership of your responsibilities.

This HR Generalist opportunity offers the chance to broaden your experience within an established business that values its people. You'll benefit from:

  • A varied role covering the full employee lifecycle
  • Regular interaction with managers and employees across multiple locations
  • Exposure to employee relations and opportunities to develop your knowledge
  • Ongoing training and professional development
  • A supportive working environment where you can learn from experienced colleagues
  • Opportunities to contribute to HR projects, policies and process improvements
  • The chance to build a long-term career within a growing organisation

If you're an HR Generalist looking for a role that offers variety, responsibility and the opportunity to continue learning, we'd love to hear from you. Apply now for immediate consideration.
