McCarthy Marland (Recycling) Ltd is seeking Class 2 HGV Drivers to join our growing transport team. We have vacancies for Tipper, Skip Loader and Hookloader drivers. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering and collecting Skips/RoRo's to and from customer sites, ensuring safe, timely, and compliant operations in line with UK road transport regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate Roll-On Roll-Off/Skip/Tipper vehicles safely and efficiently.
  • Collect skips and RoRo/Skip containers from commercial, industrial, and construction sites.
  • Secure loads correctly in accordance with UK safety standards.
  • Complete daily vehicle checks and report any defects in line with DVSA requirements.
  • Maintain accurate delivery paperwork and digital tachograph records.
  • Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients.
  • Adhere to company policies, health and safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with the UK Drivers’ Hours Regulations and Working Time Directive.

Requirements

  • Valid UK Category C (Class 2) or Category C+E (Class 1) Licence.
  • Valid Driver CPC qualification.
  • Digital Tachograph Card.
  • Previous experience operating Roll-On Roll-Off/Skip Truck vehicles preferred; however, training will be given.
  • Good knowledge of UK road networks.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Good communication skills.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience within the waste management or construction sector.
  • Knowledge of skip and container handling systems.

Working Hours

  • Monday to Friday (with occasional weekend work as required).
  • Overtime available (Time and Half).
