A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join our team as a Shipping Administrator, based at our modern warehousing facility on the Wrexham Industrial Estate.
We are a professional and successful organisation providing logistics services to multinational and local businesses, from BRC AA Food Grade Warehousing and Logistics services, along with final mile delivery for general goods. Our aim is to deliver superior end to end logistics services for ambient food ingredient and food related packaging sectors using local knowledge combined with family values, exceptional service levels, innovation and sustainability.
Hours of Work: This is a full-time position working 45 hours per week, operating on a two-week rotating shift pattern:
- Week 1: Monday–Friday, 06:00–15:00
- Week 2: Monday–Friday, 09:00–18:00
Duration: Permanent
Duties will include but are not limited to:
- Communicate with customers to ensure all orders are managed accurately and efficiently.
- Enter goods-in information into both internal and customer Warehouse Management Systems.
- Create picking lists from customer delivery orders for issue to warehouse staff.
- Prepare all transport documentation for outbound shipments.
- Maintain appropriate and auditable shipment records as required both internally and to meet external legal obligations.
- Notify customers promptly of any discrepancies identified during dispatch.
- Maintain accurate warehouse records in line with BRC requirements and customer standards.
- Record data contributing to Warehouse Key Performance Indicators.
- Participate in relevant training and apply new skills within the role.
- Follow all company health and safety procedures.
- Support environmental initiatives and assist with compliance matters.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Previous experience in an office-based environment.
- Customer-facing experience with a professional and presentable approach.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Good numeracy and literacy.
- Basic IT proficiency, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to work well within a team and independently when required.
- Comfortable working under pressure in a busy, fast-moving environment.
