McCarthy Stone is looking for a professional Relief Care and Support Assistant to join their team at their Somers Brook Courtyard in Newport, Isle of Wight.

Base Salary: £11.58 per hour plus additional pay (see below)

Hours: To be agreed with the Estate Manager

About the role: As a Relief Care and Support Assistant, you will provide high-quality individual care to residents, supporting their wellbeing. You will assist with housekeeping, domestic tasks, and encourage residents to participate in activities that promote health and happiness. Your duties will include helping residents book appointments, arrange transport, escort visits, and assist with shopping. The role is diverse and offers opportunities to make a positive impact using your people skills.

About you: You are a warm, friendly individual, ideally with some experience in care or support roles. You have a passion for enhancing the wellbeing of older people and enjoy working as part of a team in a busy environment. You are committed to delivering excellent customer service. You are interested in working in the Health and Social Care sector and preferably hold a QCF Health and Social Care (Adults) Level 2 qualification, though relevant experience and alternative qualifications will be considered.
