As a Care Assistant you will provide the highest quality of individual care to our residents enabling them to live later life well. You will deliver housekeeping and domestic support across the general estate, including apartment cleans. Duties will be varied and include supporting and encouraging our residents to take part in a wide range of activities that support their health and wellbeing. You will help them to book appointments, arrange transport and where necessary, escort them on visits and assist with their shopping. Every day will be diverse, and you'll have the opportunity to use your people skills to make a real difference.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver housekeeping and domestic support across the general estate, including apartment cleans.
- Support and encourage residents to take part in a wide range of activities that support their health and wellbeing.
- Help residents book appointments, arrange transport and, where necessary, escort them on visits and assist with their shopping.
- Assist with day‑to‑day personal care as required.
- Warm, friendly individual with ideally some experience of working in a care or support environment.
- Passion for making a difference to the wellbeing and happiness of older people.
- Ability to work as part of a team in a busy work setting and deliver excellent customer service.
- Preferably holding a QCF Health and Social Care (Adults) Level 2 qualification, though alternative qualifications and relevant experience will be considered.
Location: McCarthy & Stone are recruiting a Care Assistant to join the team at our Market House development in Wimborne, Dorset. Built in 2024, Market House is a Retirement Living Plus development that consists of 68 apartments with the over 70's in mind, providing excellent on‑site facilities and set within beautiful grounds.
Compensation and Benefits: Hourly rate: £13.70 per hour, plus earn up to an additional £1.30 for working evening and weekend hours. Hours: 20 per week, 28 days holiday inclusive of.
