McCarthy Stone is looking for a professional Care Assistant to join their team at their stunning estate, Balsahw Court, in Leyland. This Retirement Living PLUS development features 30 one-bedroom and 32 two-bedroom apartments. It is located in a quiet residential area close to Leyland town centre, with a variety of amenities, just south of Preston.
Salary and Benefits
- Base Salary: £11.58 per hour plus additional pay (see below)
- 28 days holiday inclusive of bank holidays (pro rata if part-time)

About the Role
As a Care Assistant, you will provide high-quality individual care to residents, supporting their wellbeing and enabling them to live well in later life. Your duties will include housekeeping, domestic support, assisting residents with appointments, arranging transport, escorting visits, and helping with shopping. You'll also encourage participation in activities that promote health and happiness, making a real difference through your people skills.
About You
You are warm, friendly, and ideally have some experience in care or support roles. You are passionate about improving the wellbeing and happiness of older people and enjoy working in a team. You are committed to delivering excellent customer service. You are interested in working in the Health and Social Care sector and preferably hold a QCF Level 2 in Health and Social Care (Adults), though relevant experience and alternative qualifications will be considered.
