Overview

Seeking a part-time role with a 16-hour work week Monday to Friday? We are seeking a Reception & Administrative Assista nt to support the smooth running of our busy Customer Care team and provide excellent service to staff and visitors. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for clients and colleagues, managing phone and email communications, performing general administrative duties, and supporting the wider team.

This fully office-based role would suit someone who is organised, approachable, and flexible with their working hours to support team cover when needed.

Responsibilities

  • Dealing with all incoming calls and operating the switchboard
  • Managing incoming post, emails, and general office administration including filing, photocopying, and post duties
  • Updating information on the in-house computerised system
  • Carrying out other related or ancillary duties as delegated by management
  • Supporting colleagues with ad-hoc administrative tasks as needed
  • Greeting visitors and clients in a professional and welcoming manner
  • Assisting with office organisation and internal communications

What We Are Looking For

  • A minimum of 5 GCSEs, including Maths and English
  • Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to adjust working hours when required to cover annual leave and team absences
  • Previous experience in a similar role, such as receptionist, administrator, or office assistant (2 years preferred)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
  • Professional, friendly, and approachable manner
  • Experience in a customer-facing environment is advantageous, but not essential; full training will be provided
